Birdseye Maple Proxy Core cup #7

This is a beautiful piece of died Birdseye Maple. The camera simply can not capture what this thing does in the light. - Finished with cold pressed hemp oil and my own wax blend, its beautiful, durable and easily brought to a mirror shine with a little buffing - Wood has a wonderful and natural hand feel, is never too hot or too cold - Wood is pretty durable, it can dent and scratch when dropped but it won't shatter like glass and it might even look better, plus it can always be refinished ;) - Wood is relatively cheap, these aren't $300+ pieces of glass, though I would argue they are just as heady and every bit a piece of art - Glass is incredibly beautiful, but its also $$$ and potentially fragile. Im not taking a $350 Coopers...
