The third of a series of attempts to find the secrets of green glass… the main secret being that if it heats up for too long, the chromium in it will switch the glass from a cubic structure to a tetragonal structure, resulting in rapid 4/5% volume change… this results in these cracked noses. I thought this more cadmium forward green would be a better option but it just didn’t work. I suppose this timber color has a little chrome in after all. Next try with green colors will probably be aqua azul again, it’s the only one I haven’t had consistent cracks with. Unless I mix it with canary that is. Thanks for looking folks
