This piece is quite literally a piece of borosilicate history in more ways than one. First off this piece is Fritglass’ first ever recycler I purchased off of him when he came in to my old shop one afternoon and sold me this 10mm fun sized monster. Beyond being his first recycler ever this has all kinds of history in borosilicate glass. The reason I say this is all the glass stock used in this piece are stock he acquired from scientific blowers studios that had passed away and it includes Corning cobalt #1. A dead stock color that is the very first colored borosilicate glass ever, cobalt #1 hasn’t been available since the 1960s making the cobalt in this pipe literally unobtainable .
