This wild and wacky rainbow cane recycler was created by a true student AND teacher in the world of glass, Ion Glass. Its gorgeous and whimsical pattern is a joy to behold, looking like it could be in a scene from Alice in Wonderland (maybe the smoking caterpillar scene).
Ion's design, which he calls the FCR, has excellent function, its dual uptakes dispersing the heavy bubble action of the 2-hole perc into the drain with ease. This piece is Ion's 30th edition of this design.
Jonathan is normally a perfectionist, but this piece has a flaw: the base is slightly off-balance, making it tilt slightly to the right on a flat surface. Otherwise, the piece is perfect, and this flaw does not affect the function at all. However, it is reflected in the price.
