Out of all the percolators, the honeycomb perc provides the smoothest hit. This percolator has never been able to be delivered in a modular fashion.
Percolators function by purifying the smoke by creating air bubbles, where residue from the smoke transfers to the water. This in exchange, leaves a smoother hit that is better for the lungs (less residue left behind in the lungs). The honeycomb perc manages to provide the smoothest hit bypassing the smoke through a lot of very small holes. These holes provide small bubbles which, in comparison to having a single bigger bubble, provide more contact for the smoke with the water. The result is very effective perc.
