Meerschaum Pipe with Custom Case

Meerschaum pipes are typically used for tobacco, but they are great for herbs as well! Meerschaum is harvested and hand carved in Turkey, and this one was dead stock from the 90s. I unfortunately do not know the specific carver of this one. Meerschaum is great for cool and dry smokes that do not "ghost" the pipe, or leave behind the taste of what was smoked out of it. They start out bone white, but develop a patina (darkening of the material) over time and use. Very easy to clean, but not the same way you would clean boro glass. There is so much info about Meerschaum available online, so I recommend looking into that if you're interested. I am the first and only owner of this pipe, and it has only seen one bowl (not tobacco).
