Introducing GlassPass Labels + Major Shipping & Protection Changes
Shipping glass has always been one of the most stressful parts of buying and selling online.
Between inaccurate shipping estimates, expensive label costs, confusing insurance claims, and porch theft disputes, both buyers and sellers have been stuck dealing with systems that weren’t built for fragile, high-value glass art.
That changes with the launch of GlassPass Labels.
This update introduces built-in shipping labels, shipping insurance options, return labels, accurate shipping estimates, and major changes to how delivery protection and shipping liability work on GlassPass.
For now, GlassPass Labels are available exclusively to Trusted Sellers.
Introducing GlassPass Labels
Trusted Sellers can now generate shipping labels directly inside GlassPass.
Instead of manually purchasing labels through third-party websites and entering tracking information afterward, labels can now be managed directly from the order flow.
How to Enable Labels on Your Listing
Trusted Sellers will now see a new bubble on the selling dashboard showing how many of their listings are eligible for GlassPass Labels.
From this bubble, sellers can quickly manage and edit multiple listings at the same time, making it much easier for sellers with larger inventories to enable labels in bulk.
To enable labels, sellers will need to enter package dimensions so accurate shipping costs can be calculated for buyers during checkout.
Sellers can also manually enable GlassPass Labels by:
- Opening one of their listings
- Tapping “Edit Post”
- Navigating to the shipping section
- Selecting the option to enable GlassPass Labels
Once enabled, shipping labels and tracking can be managed directly through the platform.
What’s Included
GlassPass Labels supports:
- USPS, FedEx, and UPS shipping carriers
- Multiple shipping speed options
- Real-time shipping quotes
- Built-in tracking
- Specialized high-end art insurance coverage through Arta
When labels are enabled, buyers can choose their preferred carrier and shipping speed directly during checkout.
Shipping label costs are automatically deducted from the seller payout, meaning sellers no longer need to pay out of pocket upfront for labels.
Sellers still have the option to use their own external shipping labels if preferred.
Accurate Shipping Estimates
One of the biggest frustrations for both buyers and sellers has been inaccurate shipping pricing.
With GlassPass Labels, sellers can now enter:
- Package dimensions
- Weight
- Fragility information
This allows buyers to see far more accurate shipping costs during checkout instead of relying on flat estimates.
Buyers can also choose:
- Delivery speed
- Shipping options
- Insurance coverage
- Signature confirmation preferences where applicable
This creates a much more transparent checkout experience for everyone involved.
Shipping Insurance Built for Glass Art
GlassPass Labels now includes optional shipping insurance powered by Arta, though signature confirmation is still required for all transactions over $750.
Arta specializes in logistics and protection for high-value collectibles and artwork, making them a much better fit for functional glass than traditional shipping insurance systems.
For the first time, buyers can choose whether they want additional shipping insurance directly during checkout.
This gives buyers more control over how their package is protected while also making seller liability much clearer and fairer.
Major Changes to Delivery Protection & Liability
We’ve also updated several of our shipping and dispute policies to better balance responsibility between buyers and sellers.
Previously, sellers were often held responsible for delivery-related issues completely outside of their control, including porch theft claims and transit-related problems after successful delivery scans.
This update changes that.
Signature Confirmation Changes
Signature confirmation is no longer automatically required on all orders.
New Rules
- Orders under $750 no longer require signature confirmation
- Orders over $750 still require signatures
- Orders using shipping insurance require signature confirmation
This reduces unnecessary delivery friction on lower-value packages while still protecting higher-value shipments.
Porch Theft & “Delivered” Claims
For uninsured shipments under $750, once tracking shows “Delivered,” seller liability ends, assuming the item arrived as described and without undisclosed damage, defects, or other issues detailed in our refund policy.
This means claims such as:
- “The package was stolen from my porch”
- “Tracking says delivered but I can’t find it”
are no longer covered unless the shipment included the proper insurance/signature protections selected during checkout.
This change exists because sellers ultimately have no control over what happens after a carrier successfully completes delivery.
Buyers now have more direct control over the level of protection they want for their order.
What GlassPass Still Protects Buyers Against
GlassPass still fully protects buyers against:
- Sellers never shipping
- Receiving the wrong item
- Receiving non-items or fraudulent shipments
- Receiving items that are not as described
- Undisclosed cracks, flaws, or damage
These protections remain fully in place.
Submitting & Managing Insurance Claims
Filing a claim (Buyer's Responsibility)
Claims should be filed for damage or other conditions, loss, or non-delivery. Claims should be reported as soon as possible and, in any event, within seven (7) days of delivery. Claims submitted after this time are subject to review.
Submitting through your Buying Dashboard
- Open the GlassPass app and tap the shopping bag icon on the bottom navigation bar to access your Buying Dashboard
- Tap “Need to Confirm” and open the order related to the shipment issue
- Tap the tracking link to open the Arta tracking dashboard
- Locate and tap the “Start a Claim” button
- Complete the claim form with all required information
- Upload supporting documentation if requested
- Submit your claim

Why These Changes Matter
The goal of this update is simple:
Make shipping and dispute handling more transparent, more modern, and more fair for both buyers and sellers.
Buyers now have:

- Better shipping visibility
- More accurate shipping pricing
Sellers now have:
- Simpler shipping workflows
- Better delivery protection
- Less liability for carrier-related issues outside their control
- Integrated labels and tracking directly inside GlassPass
This is just the beginning of a much larger platform update, with more improvements already on the way.
