Started blowing glass up in Burlington Vermont w my buddies. Was only 16 years old at the time I started making pipes. Selling glass to smokehouse before I was even old enough to enter one. Since then I've been making glass periodically for the last 25 years, back before the only color we had was whatever could be made w cobalt blue , silver and gold fume and those were the only options for materials back then.
