The Paleolithic, a period in which our species rose from its ancestors. Fire, the fourth element. Before man mastered the art of combustion, they deconstructed the properties of water, earth, and air. Following closely was the flame, and thus fell smoke upon us.
An elemental amalgamation, smoking represents one of the first true masteries of the four elements. Water to grow and nurture a sacrament of earth, a chamber of air to facilitate its inhalation and a spark of the flame to initiate the pyrolysis.
Paleolithica chooses colors that harken back to the old world, one of flora and fauna. Life is breathed into the form using careful proportioning, and pattern placement.
We are but gyroscopic primates- trying to stay upright whilst this world spins and churns in turmoil and change.
