GlassPass's Biggest Update Ever is Almost Here!

Big news! GlassPass is about to release the largest update to date, touching nearly every screen and process in the app. Just like everything we build, we're focused on the future. We added new features, rebuilt existing features, and added FULL web support for things that were previously mobile-only.

We consider everything included below as "part one" of 2026's Summer Update. Part two will introduce in-app shipping labels, insurance, and a new checkout flow. Here's everything that's changing in the first release:

What's New at a Glance

Brand New Features

Post Drafts and Review Screen

The post creation flow has been completely redesigned. Instead of one long form, sellers now move through a guided step-by-step experience with clear stages:

• Listing Type → Details → Category & Tags → Shipping → Pricing

A progress bar shows where you are at each step. When you're done, a new Review Screen lets you see a summary of everything before publishing, with the ability to tap "Edit" on any section to jump back and make changes.

The biggest quality-of-life improvement: posts can now be saved as drafts. Step away at any point and your work is saved when you come back.

New Checkout Flow

A completely new purchase experience for buyers, built from scratch:

• Step-by-step payment flow
• Shipping method selection (coming soon)
• Order summary before you pay
• Support for Arta premium art shipping (coming soon)

Dark Mode

Full light, dark, and system appearance support across the entire app. Every screen respects your preference. Toggle it in Settings under the new appearance selector (System / Light / Dark).

Buying on Web

This is huge. The following features are now available on the web for the first time:

• Checkout
• Messages
• Orders
• Offers and negotiations
• Buying and selling dashboards
• Settings

Previously, all of this was mobile-only. If you found a piece on your laptop, you had to pull out your phone to actually buy it. That's done.

Web Chat Widget

A floating chat popup on the website so you can message sellers (or buyers) without leaving the page you're on. No more navigating away from a listing to send a message.

Rebuilt and Improved Features

Previously, most app features only existed as mobile-only code. This update rewrites every major feature to work across both mobile and web, with dark mode support throughout.

Buyer and Seller Dashboards

Completely rebuilt with:

• Sidebar layout on desktop
• Overview stats at a glance
• 14 filtered views across buying and selling modes (All Orders, Need to Ship, In Progress, Delivered, Disputed, and more)
• Order search
• Alert cards for items needing your attention

Messaging

• Split-pane layout on desktop (conversation list + active thread side by side)
• Search by username
• Unread message filtering
• Swipe-to-hide conversations on mobile
• Image message support on web

Order Pages

• New loading skeletons for faster-feeling navigation
• Shipping tracking modal
• Countdown timers for shipping deadlines
• Old offer/payment/shipping flow replaced by the new Checkout system

Create and Edit Post

Beyond the new drafts and review screen:

• Shipping dimensions input for Shipping Labels compatibility (coming soon)
• Re-listing flow for previously delisted posts

Advertising Center

• Boost and bump management rebuilt with better organization
• Live countdown timers on active boosts
• Streamlined checkout for purchasing ads

Settings

• Now available on web for the first time
• Dark mode toggle (System / Light / Dark)
• Platform-aware help center that auto-fills your device info in bug reports

Also Rebuilt

Notifications, Edit Profile, Follower List, and Leave Review have all been rebuilt on the same modern foundation. Same functionality, dramatically less code, and consistent styling across light and dark mode.

Why This Update Matters

Before this update, most of GlassPass only worked on mobile. Dark mode didn't exist. The checkout process was clunky. Shipping high-value glass was stressful.

Now every feature works on both mobile and web. You can buy, sell, message, and manage orders from anywhere. Premium art shipping is built in. And the entire app looks and feels like it belongs in 2026.

This isn't just a feature update. It's a platform upgrade that makes everything we build going forward faster and better for the community.
